Teen prodigy Billie Eilish releases Bellyache

Teen prodigy Billie Eilish has just released her latest track Bellyache, along with the video which was shot in the Mohave Desert, all conceptualised, art directed and choreographed by Billie herself.

Teen Vogue had this to say about her: “Imagine going to sleep as a regular 14-year-old girl and waking up the next morning with your inbox flooded with emails enquiring about your bourgeoning music career. That’s what happened to Billie Eilish who, in 2015, made a somewhat unintentional arrival onto the music scene after uploading a track called Ocean Eyes to SoundCloud.”

With an appetite for the gliding, glassy indie-pop of artists like Aurora and Lana Del Rey, and the distorted menace of Tyler the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt, Billie Eilish listens to music the way that most watch movies - entirely undefined by genre. This bleeds through into her own unique style of music, calling out lyrics with a mix of heartbreak and damaged indifference via her angelic vocal.

Now at the ‘seasoned’ age of 15, the Los Angeles native has already penned a deal and begun releasing material, produced and co-written by her older brother, Finneas O’Connell.
